Muyoti reveals problem ailing City Stars

Nairobi City Stars have posted a torrid start to the season, losing their three opening games with head coach Nicholas Muyoti pointing to problems in their defence.In the three games that Simba wa Nairobi have played thus far this season, eight goals have been shipped in, leaving them with the worst defensive record in the league.Owino still focused on pursuing professional football despite missing deal in PortugalMuyoti noted that he is looking to solve his porous defense after trying out different combinations which have not yielded the desired effect yet.“Our defensive part is not working as I want it to, we are conceding many goals, this is an area we need to look at again and again to make sure we get it right.##NAJAVA_MECA_6871887##We have tried some combinations which have not worked out, we have conceded in all the games but the players we have are the ones we will continue to use,” said Muyoti.The 2020 National Super League (NSL) champions are currently rooted to the bottom of the standings and are the only team who have played three matches without registering a point.The former Kakamega Homeboyz head coach bemoaned his team’s second half performance against FC Talanta where they let their 1-0 lead slip away to lose the game 2-1.Scottland-based forward dreams of representing Kenya in 2026 FIFA World Cup“We had a lapse of concentration in the second half and that is an area we really need to work on and also our final third needs tuning but we saw an improvement in our last game.The performance against Talanta is an area we can build on from and see where we did not get it right and work to make sure we get it right,” added Muyoti.
