Gor Mahia’s fitness trainer calls it quits after two years

After close to two years of service, Gor Mahia’s fitness trainer Hamisi Musa Juma has decided to throw in the towel citing personal reasons and the ongoing challenges that the club is enduring.Hamisi who doubles up as the club’s psychotherapist joined K’Ogalo back in January 2021 from Kariobangi Sharks and was maintained by a number of coaches during his time at the club including Manuel Vaz Pinto, Mark Harrison, and Johnathan McKinstry.Hamisi Musa: Gor Mahia’s third lungThe vital member of the technical bench revealed that he tendered his resignation on Tuesday to focus on pressing family issues and also cited the club’s myriad of issues it’s currently enduring.”After much consideration and thought I decided to resign from the club to focus on urgent family matters that need to be solved and will require some time out.I also feel that the team is currently going through a number of challenges which have affected my job and that is also another reason which led to me throwing in the towel,” said Hamisi.##NAJAVA_MECA_6871887##While at Gor Mahia, he was part of the team that lifted its first Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup after nine years back in 2021 and the Madaraka Cup clinched this year.The club is currently serving a transfer embargo from FIFA for failing to settle the dues of Steven Polack, Tanzanian winger Dickson Ambudo, Ugandan defender Shafiq Batambuze, Ghanaian midfielder Steven Owusu, Congolese forward Sando Sando Yangayay, and Malian Goalkeeper Adama Keita which has left them with a depleted squad.McKinstry not interested in vacant Harambee Stars jobHamisi was thankful to the club for providing priceless memories and went ahead to wish the club all the best in the future.”I enjoyed my time at Gor Mahia and made meaningful relationships and also had memorable times that will always be a part of me forever.
