His feeble shot was saved by Mathias Kigonya who later took the final penalty to help his team lift the Jamhuri Day Cup.At the end of the game, a section of Ingwe faithful was baying for the striker’s blood while chanting ‘Ojo must go’.’Ojo Must go’ fans being fans after the Nigerian missed a second penalty in a week.#JamhuriDayCup pic.twitter.com/KpQHxh8H5z— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) December 12, 2022 The tactician however chose to be more positive lauding Kigonya for the good save. He went on to remind the fans that the striker got a double against Ulinzi Stars in the opening game of the campaign.“Ojo missed yes but you know it’s because of the brilliant work by the goalkeeper. This happens at the highest level, like the World Cup where even big players miss penalties as well. What we forget is Ojo scored two goals against Ulinzi Stars,” the Belgian coach said.Aussems further disclosed that only three of his players were willing to take penalties and that he hasd to select two other takers.“When it’s like that you ask players, who want to shoot but unfortunately it’s only three players who said they wanted to. That means that I had to decide who else would take the other two to complete five,” he added.Up next for AFC Leopards is a home match against Posta Rangers on Saturday.Dismayed Ababu Namambwa on the trail of billions sunk into incomplete stadiums
