Nzoia Sugar defensive midfielder Harun Thomas has cautioned his colleagues against looking down upon the visiting Nairobi City Stars whom they clash with this Saturday.City Stars are yet to register a win from the four league matches played thus far, a run that contrasts that of the sugarmen who boast of two wins and a draw in as many matches.##NAJAVA_MECA_6886653##Ahead of the duel, Nzoia are brimming in confidence having floored former champions Sofapaka and the deep-pocketed KCB to sit third on the log behind Kakamega Homeboyz and Tusker.Harun insists that the wounded City Stars have what it takes to upset them and therefore should be taken seriously for they are equally hungry for the three points.“We can not afford to underrate City Stars basing on their run. They have good players within their ranks whom I am certain want a win by all means. I am anticipating a tough encounter,” he said.Harun who joined Nzoia after running out of contract at KCB, stressed on the need to bag the three points and maintain their presence in the top three bracket.I contemplated quitting football after my injury – Kayci OdhiamboThe midfielder who also doubles up as a primary school teacher said they have no business in fighting relegation this season unlike in the past where the club has been miraculously evading the drop.“The team has been fighting to keep its place in the top league in the past three to four seasons. The recurring trend was partly as a result of poor start and losing the best players. At least we have began well and there were no exits in the transfer window. If we keep on winning our matches then, we will be among the top teams at the end of the season,” he added. The former Sony Sugar captain who has been making cameos in the four matches in the meantime expressed optimism in getting regular and uninterrupted playing time.
