AFC Leopards are sweating over the availability of two key players who went off injured on Wednesday against Nairobi City Stars at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani, a game Ingwe won 1-0.Captain Eugene Mukangula was forced off just before halftime with a hamstring problem while Musa Oundo, another midfielder followed him in the second half with what looked like a knee problem sending the Leopard’s technical staff and faithful into panic as the squad was already lean with two other players sidelined.##NAJAVA_MECA_6931319##With the games coming fast and furious this January, coach Patrick Aussems is a worried man and says they are going to do all they can to have the injured players back with the squad as soon as possible.“The other problem is that we have injuries, and the group that I have isn’t very large and we really need to manage that because we have seven games in around 24 or 25 days I think and so everything will be focused on recovery and treatment of my injured players,” he stated. The coach expects Mukangula to be sidelined for up to a month as his injury is worse compared to Oundo’s who he anticipates could be back for Sunday’s league action against Bidco United at the Nyayo National Stadium.“For Eugene, I am a little bit worried because it is a hamstring issue and it came straight and I am pretty sure that he will be out for three or four weeks. Musa may be less serious. We took him out as a precaution, and with good treatment, and in the next few days I hope he will be okay for Sunday,” he added. The win over City Stars was Ingwe’s second of the campaign and Aussems will be hoping to build on it with a triumph over a struggling Bidco United side.Doris Petra elected CECAFA Executive Committee member
