Tottenham Hotspur are having a bad season so far. With clubs like Liverpool and Chelsea (and Manchester United at the beginning) all struggling, many fans, as well as Spurs brass expected their team to thrive under Antonio Conte. In reality, Tottenham have managed seven defeats in 13 games and are in terrible form, with no trophies coming to London stadium this year. After thrashing Crystal Palace at the beginning of the year, Conte’s men recorded loses from Arsenal and Manchester City and they needed a win really badly tonight. And they got it, but not due to a much better performance, but due to a fantastic scorer Harry Kane and keeper Hugo Lloris. Fulham enjoyed a better first half, but with the result being the ultimate ‘judge’, it was Tottenham who became victorious due to Harry Kane’s beautiful goal. Antonio Conte decided to stick with the same starting 11 who took a 2-0 lead against Manchester City the other week, before surrendering 4 goals in the second half. The home team attacked more and had some good actions from both flanks, but couldn’t passed the ball through Lloris. Bobby Reid had a good shot in the 10th minute, and another in the 19th, but the French keeper saved both shots. Kane’s first shot after half an hour ended just over bar, but in the 45th minute he was precise. Another great individual effort from England’s captain who took a shot and the ball went straight to the bottom right corner for the lead.For some strange reason, Fulham’s confidence suffered in the second half, and they just couldn’t come up with any decent chance, while Kane nearly scored in the 57th minute after an assist from Davis, but Leno was right there to save and give hope to his teammates that they could still score and take at least a point.
