It is difficult to understand how FKF expects teams to be able to generate revenue if they are blocking methods for this teams to generate revenue, if FKF were broadcasting these games and the teams were making money out of it then I would understand this position. Teams are struggling for money and I don’t see any other way for teams to make this money and if teams are not allowed to generate revenue then the entire football system in Kenya is at risk,” said Ndlovu.FKF however noted that they would have permitted AFC Leopards to stream the game if the game was nor ised to commercial gains but for public interest.##NAJAVA_MECA_6971496##FKF Letter to AFC Leopards:Reference is made to your letters dated January 24, 2023 and January 25, 2023 with regard to the above subject matter.Further, reference is made to our letter dated December 21, 2022 approving your request to live stream your home match against Kakamega Homeboys FC, on condition that the purpose for the broadcast shall solely be for the interest of the public and not commercialisation purposes. In this regard, as earlier communicated, the federation only approves live streaming requests for the sole purpose of public interest and not commercialisation. In light of the aforementioned, we regret to inform you that your request to Live Stream FKF PL match No. 101 between AFC Leopards and Kenya Police FC will only be approved if the federation gets a written confirmation from the club that AFC Leopards SC will not commercialise the Live streaming of the said fixture as indicated in your letter dated January 25, 2023.Frank Odhiambo banking on experience gained in Sweden to earn first team duties with Harambee StarsMoreover, we wish to remind you that FKF and its members have the sole and exclusive rights to exploit any and all Broadcast Rights including but not limited to mainstream and digital Broadcast rights relating to all FKF leagues and/or competitions, and should the federation secure a broadcasting partner, all rights associated with the broadcast of matches in all FKF leagues shall revert back to the federation. We thank you for taking note and for your good understanding.
