Ismael Dunga club hunting after forgettable two seasons at Sagan Tosu

Japanese top-flight side Sagan Tosu have parted ways with Kenyan forward Ismael Dunga following a challenging stint that saw him struggle for game time.The former Tusker FC forward joined Sagan Tosu in January 2021 from Albanian side KF Vllaznia immediately after his compatriot Michael Olunga left Japan to join Qatari side Al Duhail.Ismael Dunga: Proud journeyman happy with his career progressThe move however failed to have an instant impact as Olunga did so with Kashiwa Reysol as Dunga only managed nine league appearances in his first season and failed to find the back of the net.The poor stats led to him being shipped out on loan to Japanese third-tier side Kamatamare Sanuki in a bid to rediscover his form and get minutes under his belt.##NAJAVA_MECA_6983999##Things went from bad to worse for Dunga at Kamatamare as he only managed four league appearances all season and failed to score or provide an assist during the entire season.Upon his return to Sagan Tosu, the Japanese club decided to let Dunga leave after the expiry of his contract on December 31st 2022.Ismael Dunga’s woes persist in JapanTosu however still have Kenyan flair in their squad after roping in former Gor Mahia midfielder Anthony Akumu who joined the club in January this year on a two-year deal.Dunga was recently seen in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) clash watching his former side Tusker FC being whitewashed by Kenya Police FC.
