Vincent Oburu in as Zesco United return to winning ways in Zambia

Kenyan international Vincent Oburu was included in the Zesco United matchday squad that managed to go back to winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Green Eagles in the Zambian Super League.Former AFC Leopards keeper Ian Otieno was however not in Zesco United’s squad for the game that was played on Sunday morning at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium after it was forfeited on Saturday evening due to heavy rainpour. Oburu saw his side put a stop to their two consecutive draws as a Chanda Mukuka goal and a Lazarous Kambole brace sealed the three points for the team. When the game got underway according to plan on Saturday afternoon, Mukuka wasted no time in gifting the lead to his side as he found the back of the net just two minutes into the clash. However, the centre referee called the game to a stop on the 55th minute when the heavy rainfall proved to be unrelenting. When the game resumed on Sunday, that pause in play ended up being a mere distraction in Zesco’s quest after Kambole scored the first of his two strikes just six minutes in after yet another fast start in the clash. As the game approached its end, the 29 year old forward completed his brace with the third goal of the match that confirmed where all the three points would be going.##NAJAVA_MECA_6996846##Napsa Stars 0-1 Power DynamosStill in Zambia, former Gor Mahia defender David ‘Calabar’ Owino was unfortunate to taste defeat as his Napsa Stars’ five match unbeaten streak was brought to an end on Saturday.A lone goal from 30 year old Fredrick Mulamba is all that Power Dynamos needed to hand their first loss this year (W3 D1 L1).Highly rated Harambee Stars left back named among Top 10 best defenders in EuropeThe result sees Napsa in 6th place on 31 points , one ahead of Zesco United.
