AFC Leopards in form goalkeeper Levis Opiyo has credited the understanding between him and his teammates as the reason behind his current impressive form in the ongoing 2022/2023 Football Kenya Federation Premier League.Having had a difficult start to the campaign, the experienced goalkeeper has kept an impressive six consecutive clean sheets with the last time a goal went past him being back on 14 January, a record that sees him top the clean sheet charts alongside Gor Mahia’s Gad Mathews (9).##NAJAVA_MECA_7032792##Speaking to Mozzart Sport, the widely travelled goalkeeper, who has had stints at Western Stima, Nairobi City Stars, Gor Mahia and Wazito, noted that it only took a concerted effort from his teammates to be able to stage the upturn in form after the team recorded only two wins in their opening eight matches (D2 L4).“It has really not been easy because when we started the league we had bad results in almost five games where we never managed a win. It has taken a lot of sacrifice since our defeat in Muhoroni against Wazito where we called ourselves to order as players and resolved to raise our attitude and to be more courageous as a unit,””I have also been forced to step up especially considering the fact that when a team is on a bad run, it is the goalkeeper who is highlighted the most.
