KCB coach Zedekiah Otieno has said he would not mind resigning striker Derrick Otanga who has returned to the country after a failed professional stint in Libya.Describing the player as valuable, ‘Zico’ said no team in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) will pass the chance to sign the striker.“He is a great player and if he is available and willing to play for us, why not, we will resign him. Perhaps we would be at the top with him. He was a really important part of our squad but we have learnt to go on without him,” he noted.Local and foreign clubs scrambling for Otanga’s signatureZico regretted that the player had not made it in Libya but was quick to add that he is not entirely surprised considering the pressure one undergoes playing as a striker abroad.“To be a striker, you must maintain a certain consistency in scoring goals. The problem with local strikers is that they do not score as consistently as they should.
