Mbongi names Egypt’s Smouha as the toughest team he faced during his stay at Ulinzi Stars

Former Ulinzi Stars defender Omar Mbongi has revealed the toughest opponent he came up against during his stay with the four-time league winners.The leftback announced his retirement from the club after the end of the first leg in the current campaign where he played in all the 17 matches in that period.Speaking to Mozzart Sport, the left back picked the CAF Confederation Cup qualifying match against Smouha in Egypt back in May 2017 as the toughest one for him as an Ulinzi Stars player.

Smouha hit the Soldiers 4-0 in Egypt in the first leg, and although Ulinzi managed to win the second leg 3-0 at Machakos Stadium, it was not enough to see them progress.”I do not think there is anyone who has given me a big challenge in the local league. However, our game against Smouha of Egypt in the CAF Confederation Cup was a bit challenging.
