Nairobi City Stars will be seeking to beef up their striking department in the midseason transfer window, coach Nicholas Muyoti has disclosed.Speaking after the barren draw against Bidco United at Kasarani Annex on Tuesday afternoon, Muyoti said that they have identified possible players that they can bring into the team to bolster that department and that talks between those players and the club are currently ongoing.##NAJAVA_MECA_7079898##Simba wa Nairobi have scored only 11 goals in the 18 matches that they have played so far, an area that clearly needs improvement if they are to lift off the relegation zone.”Our striking department is an area that we are looking forward to strengthening. we have targeted some players and they are in talks with the office and I hope we can have them as soon as possible. I hope that we can get players to work on that aspect in the final third, it is an area that we need to fix,” Muyoti said.Samuel Kapen leads the club’s scoring chart with four goals, followed by Ezekiel Odera with three, then Peter Opiyo, Anthony Kimani, Andrew Kisilu, and Vincent Otieno who has since left the club all with one goal apiece.Exclusive: Kenya Police sign Otanga, closing in on MatasiDespite the goal drought, Muyoti picked positives from the game against Bidco, the biggest being the calm brought to his backline by the return of Salim ‘Shitu’ Abdallah.”We will take a match at a time. We started our first leg very badly but now we have started well with a clean sheet so we have to build on that and try as much as possible in the coming matches to make sure we do not concede. We have been having concentration lapses in defence but with Shitu (Salim Abdallah) coming in with his communication and leadership we did well,” he added.City Stars are currently 16th on the log with just 13 points from 18 matches.
