The irony of today’s match and Barca’s 1-0 win is that the Catalans couldn’t win or even score against below average teams like Getafe and Girona and yet today they managed a win against Atletico. Cholo Simeone’s team is in fantastic form, with 6 consecutive wins before this defeat. Their last non-win game before today was a draw with Real Madrid back in February. It wasn’t a pretty match today at Camp Nou (it usually never is when Atletico is playing), but the visitors had some good chances, and Antoine Griezmann will have a sleepless night, as he missed two of them.
