U17AFCON: Somalia upbeat ahead of Congo clash

Somalia head coach Nur Mohamed Amin is upbeat that his side can beat Congo when the two sides clash tonight in their second Group A match at 10 PM EAT at the ongoing U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Algeria.The Ocean Stars kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Algeria and thus they will be hoping to pick their first-ever win in the competition to keep their hopes of advancing to the next stage alive.Speaking ahead of the match, Amin is adamant that they will do everything within their power to beat Congo despite the fact that they do not have experience playing at this level.##NAJAVA_MECA_7220357##“We will do everything we can to win. Our plan is to perform excellently in that match. Our players do not have enough experience and expertise, but we have the determination to do our best. We have a spirit that drives us. We will try to organize our team in a good way and we hope we will win,” the coach said.His counterpart Fabrizio Cesana opines that it will be a decisive match against the East African side having lost their opening game to Senegal by a solitary goal.”Our match against Somalia will be key and decisive. We must win this match to record points and we must intensify our efforts to achieve that. This will be a tough match and I talked to the players and told them that we lost our opening match to a team considered one of the great in Africa and we should not keep our heads down.
