Migori Youth lost one nil at St. Sebastian Park in Murang’a on Wednesday to bring to an end a 5 National Super League matches unbeaten streak.Needless to say, Wilson Omondi’s team remain one of the favorites for FKF Premier League promotion.Migori Youth started their resurgence in the earlier part of the season after having suffered a few indifferent campaigns and are now looking the real deal.Migori Youth have a plethora of playmakers on their roster with each member of the attacking unit good with the ball and enjoy having it on his foot. Kevin Hagai, Fredrick Simiyu, Lucky Musyoki and Yusuf Blondi are monsters with the ball inside the opposition half and hence, opposition defenders find it difficult to tame them.##NAJAVA_MECA_7277271##Lucky Musyoki, who has already scored 2 goals since rejoining the club from Sofapaka,is enjoying a fresh lease of life for Migori Youth. Kevin Hagai is tireless and as result,Migori Youth usually make most of their moves through the flanks .Coach Wilson Omondi also attributes his success to “openness” in the team, terming Kenyan football full of lies. “When we were signing these players, we informed them of the financial status of the club rather than making lots of promises that we couldn’t fulfil, gladly, they agreed to turn out for us.”Furthermore, Migori Youth assembled a young squad with five of them coming from Migori Youth Academy having been with the team from under 12 category. The youthful side have made Migori Stadium a fortress for visiting teams as they are yet to lose a home match this season in National Super League.Migori Youth are currently 3rd on National Super League standings 10 points behind second-placed Murang’a Seal with six National Super League (NSL) matches to close the curtains on the league .MYTA entertain Coastal Heroes in a must win match on Saturday at Migori Stadium with assistant coach Sammy Owano emphasizing that each match will be treated as a final in the quest for FKF Premier League promotion.
