Nakuru City Queens have booked their spot in the final of the FKF Women Cup after edging FKF Division One side Kibera Soccer Ladies 3-2 in the first semifinal played at the Rift Valley Institute of Technology on Wednesday afternoon.The Chrispinus Wesonga-coached side have had an impressive run in the tournament, defeating Gaspo Women and Thika Queens on their journey to the semifinals and they showed character when it mattered to progress to the last hurdle for the first time.Speaking after the historic feat, Wesonga lauded his charges for making it to the finals despite having a lean squad that combined cup and league action.##NAJAVA_MECA_7292188##”We are very happy to make it to the final. We had a very small squad but we have gotten this far,” Wesonga said.His counterpart, David Vijago opined that they had lost to a worthy opponent but blamed the loss to their late arrival.”We lost to a worthy opponent today when you look at the teams they have eliminated on their way to the semis. However, we arrived late and had very little time for preparations.
