Number one, we can go the way at which we get to buy a women’s team and absorb it into the Tusker family, or number two, we can partner with a women’s team and through that build an affiliation to Tusker FC. I can only say at this moment that there are conversations ongoing and by the end of the season, we will definitely have already bought a team or affiliated to a women’s team.”##NAJAVA_MECA_7311932##In addition to that, Nzau – a long time leader of the secretariat at the club hierarchy – mentioned about the team’s plan to improve their standards on and off the pitch, beginning with how the team would build “strong youth set-ups” that would now see the club step away from their nature of signing players from other clubs to now investing in a structure that would see young players grow to senior ranks from their academy.“In the long run the vision is to have a standard football pitch,” Nzzau added on the steps to have works ongoing at the Ruaraka Stadium. “I can assure our fans that we are working tirelessly and our sponsor is working to ensure that we give our players the best when it comes to infrastructure. Hopefully by the end of the season we should start seeing works on the ground.”With plans to also improve the club’s brand, Nzau added that they will find ways to ensure that fans readily access replica jerseys and team merchandise that would help them improve their identity, and added the team’s mindset on winning the league and most importantly, making it to the CAF competitions group stages.🗣️ The biggest question around the club has been the state of the Ruaraka Complex pitch. In an in-depth Interview, our CEO Sam Nzau delivers some good newsThe CEO also addresses;▪️ Merchandising ▪️ Acquisition of a women’s team.Full Interview: https://t.co/nQC6nGX3cc pic.twitter.com/EYILpVs6E7— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) June 13, 2023 “Our players are not only training to win the league but to make it to the continental championships,” Nzau mentioned. “That’s what we and our head coach Robert Matano are working on and we believe that we can make it to the group stages of those competitions.”On the title race, where Tusker currently trail leader Gor Mahia with two points heading to the last two games of the season, Nzau said: “It has been a good and bad season.
