Tusker FC defender Daniel Sakari has urged his side to win their Sunday game against Vihiga Bullets in Mumias and hope that Gor Mahia fail to beat Nairobi City Stars for them to win the league title.Heading into the final day of the season, Gor lead the log with 6 points while the Brewers are a point adrift. The title is in Gor’s hands but they have to beat Simba wa Nairobi as Tusker have what could be described as an easier tie in Kakamega County.⚔️ Our keepers in full flight mode, getting ready for duty.#KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/Dhbtm1AxdC— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) June 20, 2023 Wednesday is a day that most thought the race would have been settled, but it provided yet another twist after Gor Mahia lost 3-2 to Kakamega Homeboyz and Tusker were held to a one-all draw by Posta Rangers at their Ruaraka backyard.Ahead of Sunday’s game, Sakari says they have to do their part in Mumias and hope that City Stars do them a favour by either drawing or beating the record league winners for them to be declared winners.”We should go there and win our match because that’s within our control, and whatever happens in the other game (Gor Mahia), we leave it to the gods of football, as they say,” he told the club media.FKFPL goal scoring record sparks fresh controversy: 27 or 26 goals?Reflecting on the draw against Posta Rangers, the Harambee Stars defender described the stalemate as a disheartening result.”We expected maximum points, which is three points, and so it’s a disappointment at the moment,” he added. He believes that a lack of that clinical touch is to blame for their failure to beat the mailmen.”The opponent was a fighter too, but we should have finished out our chances. We had many chances that we did not take, and that’s where I think it went wrong; we should have scored goals”.Fleet footed Cliff Nyakeya set to leave AFC Leopards
