Former Gor Mahia treasurer Sally Bolo has taken to social media to mourn a member of the Gor Youth FC technical bench, Selestinus Ongama, who sadly died on Saturday morning.Popularly known as Daddy Cele, Ong’ama lost the battle to an unrevealed ailment. He has worked with Gor Mahia Youth for years, seeing the team rise from the lowest leagues up to the third tier, where they have played for the past few years.##NAJAVA_MECA_7339149##Bolo described the deceased as a committed supporter of both the junior and senior Gor Mahia teams. He was also a scout, getting players for K’Ogalo’s junior teams from school games.”What a sad Sabbath afternoon! I have just learned that a dedicated member of the Gor Mahia Youth Team FC Technical Bench, Mr. Selestinus Ong’ama, fondly known as Daddy Cele, has passed away. He died this morning after a long illness,” read part of Bolo’s post.”Prior to being part of the youth team, he was a staunch supporter of the Gor Mahia senior team and national team. He was also known for supporting and identifying talents at the grassroots level, especially during high school ball games. Please keep his family and relatives in your prayers”.His demise comes at a time when Gor Youth has just been relegated to the fourth tier. The team has encountered a couple of challenges this season.
