Ugandan winger Peter Lwasa could stay at Gor Mahia after disclosing that he is in talks with the club over a contract renewal that will see him go into his third season with the 20-time league winners.The winger, who has been with Gor for the last two years is currently out of contract, and in an interview with Mozzart Sport two weeks ago he revealed that he was leaving the club as there were no talks over a renewal then.##NAJAVA_MECA_7378090##”My two-year contract has expired today; there have been no renewal talks between me and the club, and I am now exploring other options; the Gor Mahia chapter is now closed,” he told Mozzart Sport.”I have had a great time at Gor Mahia; it was the first big club that I played for, and I cherished my time at the club. It is a period that I will remember because I won my first league title at Kenya’s best club. I am grateful to them for giving me this opportunity, and I wish them well for the future,” he added.In what now in what appears to be a change of heart, the former Kariobangi Sharks and Sofapaka forward says he is in talks with the record league champions over renewal and is set to fly in from Uganda next week.”They want me to renew but we have not agreed on an extension yet.
