Gor Mahia’s hopes of representing the country in the CAF Champions League next season now hang in the balance over monies owed to three of their former players who had reported the club to FIFA’s Disputes Resolution Chamber. The players in question are Congolese striker Yangayay Sando Sando, Burundian attacker Jules Ulimwengu, and Malian goalkeeper Adama Keita. The trio is owed millions in salary arrears and fines from the termination of contracts.##NAJAVA_MECA_7378090##Yangayay was owed just over a million by the club, while Ulimwengu’s arrears were around Ksh 900,000. Adama was set to be paid just over Ksh 3 million, and the club had paid part of it, although it appears that it had negated its pledge to settle all the dues by the end of April.CAF had directed Gor to pay the trio by Thursday at 5PM ahead of Friday’s draw , but Mozzart Sport understands that the club has not cleared with the players, and unless something out of the ordinary happens, Gor, who by virtue of winning the league was set to represent the country, will be expelled from the annual tournament. It is not yet clear whether Kenya will be allowed to register a replacement in the event that Gor Mahia is kicked out of the tournament.Gor Mahia star out to win more titles after extending contractMore to follow…
