Gor Mahia appeal revocation of license certificate, confirm remittance of overdue payables

The club… pic.twitter.com/rNxieWabeD— Ole Teya (@TeyaKevin) July 21, 2023 The decision, arrived at by the FKF Club Licensing First Instance (FIB) with advice from CAF, was after three former Gor Mahia players namely; Congolese striker Yangayay Sando Sando, Burundian attacker Jules Ulimwengu, and Malian goalkeeper Adama Keita reached out to CAF due to breach of payment agreements and overdue payables.As reported on Thursday by Mozzart Sport, the trio is owed millions in salary arrears and fines from the termination of contracts; Yangayay just over a million, Ulimwengu around Ksh 900,000, with Adama set to be paid just over Ksh 3 million or part of it, after it appeared that K’Ogalo had negated its pledge to settle all the dues by the end of April.##NAJAVA_MECA_7383895##In the club’s letter of appeal on Friday however, Chairman Rachier indicated that ‘all the overdue payables to the above former players’ had been remitted, with the remittance slips shared.In two receipts seen by Mozzart Sport, Ksh. 1.1 million was transferred via Swift from Stanbic Bank – Upper Hill Branch – to Ulimwengu, with two receipts of Ksh. 720,125 and 4544 USD transferred to Keita.All transactions were done on Friday 21 July.How AFC Leopards got slapped with 20 million fine, three window transfer ban over Aussems contract sagaCAF had however directed Gor to pay the trio by Thursday at 5PM ahead of Friday’s draw.Gor, by virtue of winning the league are set to represent the country, but the recent developments point towards them being expelled from the annual tournament.It is not yet clear whether Kenya will be allowed to register a replacement in the event that Gor Mahia is kicked out of the tournament.
