At the very beginning of the transfer window, AS Roma was very active and again made some great signings. Evan Ndicka had some serous offers but decided to sign for Jose Mourinho’s team as a free agent, and he was followed by Lyon’s Houssem Aouar from Lyon and Rasmus Kristensen from Leeds, all as free agents. Giallorossi then stopped a bit, but recent reports suggest they are on the offensive again. Today they got a Real’s bright prospect and are working on a long-term deal with their best player.Paulo #Dybala is getting closer to extend his contract with #ASRoma until 2026 with option for 2027 with an increase in salary to 6M/year + 1,5M as bonuses. Joya is considered a key-player for #Mourinho and he is very happy at #Roma. His agent Jorge Antun is at work… #transfers https://t.co/vUsHEca0mP— Nicolò Schira (@NicoSchira) July 24, 2023 With 18 goals and eight assists in 38 competitive appearances for the club, Paulo Dybala was Mourinho’s best player last season. He was one of the most experienced ones in a young Roma squad, and he has been given freedom on the pitch, so everything went great during his first season. But, as everybody knows, he has a very small exit clause (only 12 million euros), reserved only for clubs outside Italy. And Roma wants to extend the Argentine forward and remove this clause, or at least set the bar much higher then 12 million. So, the talks have been ongoing in order to make Dybala one of the most expensive players in the club, with a deal until 2026. Mou has found Abraham’s replacement, but would Roma do the same with money…In the meantime, Roma and Real Madrid have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer with the option to buy Julen Jon Guerrero. This bright talent is currently ‘trapped’ in Madrid and the best option for him was to leave on a loan, where he has been last season too. Real’s B team would be a more logical option for the kid, but coach and club’s legend Raul is keen on other players, so Roma saw an opportunity to land a talented player. An option to buy remains, as long as he manages to play for the first team. Should the case arise, Madrid would also be left with a repurchase option, as they want to protect themselves in case he ‘explodes’ in Rome. Giallorossi also need to strengthen their attack, and signing Gianluca Scamacca on a loan from West Ham remains the number 1 option for now. ##NAJAVA_MECA_7390160##
