Derrick Otanga has returned to KCB on a one half year deal after the banker’s offered him a better deal than Tusker who were also chasing for his signature.Otanga confirmed on Wednesday he is back at KCB and is excited to be working with new coach Bernard Mwalala.“I had two options on the table after leaving Kenya Police. Both Tusker and KCB were interested in my signature. At the end of the day, it boiled down to who was offering me a better package and KCB did just that,” he confirmed.Otanga left the lawkeepers after just four months saying he wanted more playing time and he believes his new club will offer him just that.“It is great to be back at KCB where most of the players are familiar with me and style of play. Everyone believes that had I been here last season, we would have won the league because the team defended well but could not just score goals. I will not disappoint them now that I am back. I will ensure we score goals and win titles. The new coach is working on something new and exciting and I want to be part of it.”##NAJAVA_MECA_7390945##The bankers finished fifth last season despite looking promising to win the title.Otanga was at KCB in the 2021-2022 season where he emerged the top scorer in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) after scoring 16 goals.Shabana axes six, set to sign a minimum of ten playersThe performance saw him attract several clubs and he soon left the country for Morocco where he did not last for long.
