Muhoroni Youth chairman Moses Adagala has weighed in on the issue of foreign players featuring in the local leagues by revealing that his club gives them only six months contracts to avoid trouble in future.“We learnt a long time ago not to engage foreign players for longer than six months because we know the kind of problems they can bring on us especially with the world governing body FIFA,” he revealed.“It does not matter how good they are, we can always extend the contract for a similar period.” He added. Local champions Gor Mahia were locked out of the CAF Champions League after failing to pay three of their former foreign players millions of shillings they had been awarded by FIFAover breach of contract.The decision by CAF came after Gor Mahia had come out of a transfer ban from FIFA for similar reasons. Clubs compete for signature of ex-Muhoroni Youth captain##NAJAVA_MECA_7406573##At the same time, AFC Leopards have been banned from signing new players until they pay their former coach Patrick Aussems more than Ksh 20million for breach of contract.At the same time Adagala revealed that the club will play a number of friendly matches in Uganda and Tanzania from next week.“We are travelling to Uganda on Monday for two build-up matches and then return home before going to Tanzania also for another build up match,” he revealed.Adagala believes the matches will help the coach gauge the quality in his team before the new season kicks-off.“Playing away is the best environment for the coach to gauge the kind of players that we have because they not in familiar places and therefore iam glad that we have managed to acquire atleast three friendly matches before the new season starts.”He further said the team will sign just six players and the process of identifying them has started.
