25-year-old Garcia (23-1, 19 KOs) of Victorville, California goes through the ropes for the second time in 2023 and looks to rebound from his first career defeat suffered in April against Gervonta Davis. 27-year-old Oscar Duarte (26-1-1, 21 KOs) of Parral, Mexico makes his third ring appearance for the year and targets the 12th win in a row.
In the co-main event, unbeaten Floyd Schofield (15-0, 11 KOs) of Austin, Texas faces Ricardo Torres (17-7-3, 12 KOs) of Tijuana, Mexico. The lightweight bout is scheduled for 12 rounds with Schofield’s WBA International title on the line.
Among Garcia vs Duarte undercard bouts, Las Vegas-based Shane Mosley Jr (20-4, 11 KOs) of Pomona, California defends his NABO middleweight belt in a 10-round bout against Joshua Conley (17-5-1, 11 KOs) of Montclair, California. Plus, El Paso, Texas native Darius Fulghum (8-0, 8 KOs) and Pachino Hill (8-4-1, 6 KOs) of Davenport, Iowa clash in an eight-round bout at light heavyweight.
