When a public spat between Julien Fournier and coach Christophe Galtier was in it’s climax, the club’s now former Nice sporting director said that if he revealed what he knows, ‘Galtier would never be able to enter a locker room again, neither in France nor in Europe”. That statement looked harsh at the time, but soon a letter written by him to Nice owners about Galtier’s behavior appeared in the media and caused a storm. Fournier denied that the was the one to give an e-mail to the press, but never said that the accusations in the email were incorrect. In June 2023, Christophe Galiter and his son were in police custody with suspicions of “discrimination based on an alleged race or membership of a religion” All former and current Nice players were reluctant to talk about the affiar, Galtier denied everything and was sacked by PSG.🚨 Jean-Clair Todibo has told the police that Christophe Galtier forced him to break his fast during Ramadan. He also described Todibo around the other club employees as an “extremist”. According to L’Equipe, a number of current and former Nice players/staff members accused Galtier. Manchester United’s January transfer target Jean-Clair Todibo was questioned by the police and explained that he was pressured by Galtier to break his Ramadan fast. He also allegedly learned from a third person that his coach described him as a ‘Salafist’ and an extremist, particularly because of one day when he wore “traditional” clothing when he arrived at the training center. Another accusation came from Frédéric Gioria who spent an entire career in Nice and was Galtier’s assistant at the time. In January 2022, Billal Brahimi, Franco-Algerian, had been recruited for the club, and according to Gioria, Galtier was not happy: “Another Muslim, I don’t want it, we’ve had enough” he said allegedly. Giora went further and said that his former boss described Nica players Youcef Atal and Hicham Boudaoui (both Algerians) as “dirty guys”. “The worst are the Algerians. They are too extreme“ he said. Atal, and former player Khephren Thuram, explained to the prosecutors that they have never witnessed this type of scene.PSG coach Galtier in police custody over accusations of racism!Gioria also confirmed the story which was mentioned in Julien Fournier’s letter to Nica owners:“Christophe Galtier told me that I had to take into account the ‘reality of the city’ and that we couldn’t have so many blacks and Muslims in the team. He said to me ‘Last night, I went to the restaurant and everyone came down on me to say that we have a team of blacks. Our team does not reflect what people want, just as it does not reflect myself.’ There was no sporting argument, but just arguments about religion and skin colour” wrote Forunier to INEOS director Dave Brailsford (INEOS owns Nice) in 2021. Giora confirmed that the heard that Galtier’s remarks, branded as an anecdote from the restaurant.Signed and sealed: Olunga’s new boss is GaltierThe third person to make statements which are against Galtier is Hachim Ali Mbaé, video analyst of the club who said that in 2021, at the halftime of the game between Nice and Saint-Étienne, Galtier described two black players from the Saint-Etienne team (Harold Moukoudi and Mickaël Nadé) as “two King Kongs.” Galtier, who always denied those accusations, will have time to respond to all of this in ten days, when his trial is set to begin.##NAJAVA_MECA_7721778##
