Slavia Prague made a very interesting move before the end of the year and hired one of the biggest talents in Europe. Mohamed Ihattaren (21), a Dutchman born in Utrecht from Moroccan parents, has had a ‘mountain’ of problems off the pitch in recent months. He was under contract with Juventus until the end of July this year, when they parted ways by mutual consent, and then his engagement in Samsun failed due to ‘unreasonable demands’, as announced by the Turkish club. For almost four months, Ihattaren worked individually and waited for the right offer, and it arrived from the Czech giant. As announced by Slavia, the contract was signed until the end of the season, with the club having the option to extend it for another two years if they are satisfied.Mohamed Ihattaren 🇳🇱 joins Slavia. The twenty-one-year-old midfielder has signed a one-year contract with a three-year option. The guy is only 21 years old, and he has already been the pages of all the world’s tabloids, for all the wrong reasons. He started at PSV Eindhoven, where he played football for nine years. He played for the first team for two seasons, after which Juventus bought him for 2,000,000 euros in the summer of 2021. Ihattaren’s price and reputation were already well known at that time and Juve’s move was actually betting on the talented footballer and his potential to get back on track. Even in his teenage days, Mohamed Ihattaren managed, for example, to have a heated argument with coach Roger Schmidt, to be kicked out of the team, to miss trainings in series. One of those absences was due to illness, and the French media photographed him that very day at Nice’s training session with agent with the infamous manager Mino Raiola. PSV couldn’t wait to get rid of him and did so by selling him to Juve. It was recorded that Ihattaren was worth 22,000,000 euros at the time of his debut for PSV, at the age of 17, and his price was only two million when he arrived in Turin. Today, Transfermarkt values it at 300,000 euros! And all this is not surprising considering what the boy has been through and survived in the last two years.Mohamed Ihattaren has been caught up in more controversy before even making his Juventus debut!👀 August: Visits mafia member in prison🚒 September: Has car set on fire🚓 November: Arrested for making threats🚨 February: Arrested for assault#Ihattaren #Juventus #Ajax pic.twitter.com/iZ4j2pKW7z— DR Sports (@drsportsmedia) February 13, 2023 In short, the Dutch media began to associate him with members of the dangerous Moroccan Mokro mafia. One of the most visible criminals of that gang was filmed arriving in his car for the trial, and then shortly after that, the same car, worth 177,000 euros, got blown up. In those days, he was suspected of starting the fire himself. When the investigation by the Dutch authorities was launched, he started receiving death threats. In the meantime, he started dating the sister of one of the mafia leaders, then he beat her, so he spent two days in custody. To top it off – he was seen visiting one of his mafia ‘friends’ in prison.##EDITORS_CHOICE##During all that time, Mohamed Ihattaren tried to play football and of course – he failed. As soon as he arrived in Italy, Juve sent him to Sampdoria on a loan. The first weekend he went to a friend in Monaco, the second weekend to a friend in Milan. Seeing all that, the people of Sampdoria assigned him a ‘band-aid’ – a man who would keep an eye on him 24/7. He took him to training sessions and brought him back home, he followed him closely, but he still managed only one appearance on the bench. Soon Sampdoria gave up and sent him back to Juve in January. Regardless of the fact that they were well acquainted with its turbulent history, the people from Ajax also had the desire to try the impossible. He spent a whole year in Amsterdam (from January 2022 to December of the same year); performance – devastating. He was back ‘home’ again, close to the old ‘friends’ (and habits) and became mafia darling again.##NAJAVA_MECA_7721778##During that time, he spent the total of four minutes on the field for Ajax! Former Real midfielder Wesley Sneijder worked with him individually for several days. The famous ace quickly threw up his hands and reported to management that the guy would not be playing again anytime soon. So it was. So, from the last game for PSV (April 2021, league game with Groningen), until today, Mohamed Ihattaren played football only for those four minutes! Slavia does not seem to see any particular problem with all this. Slavia seems to believe in miracles…
