Tusker forward Ibrahim Joshua is delighted to have been included in the Tanzania national team’s provisional squad for the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.Joshua secured a place in the 53-man provisional squad released two days ago by coach Adel Amrouche.The AFCON is set to run from January 13 to February 11, 2024, in various cities on the Ivory Coast.##NAJAVA_MECA_7757542##The matches are scheduled to take place in Abidjan, Bouake, Yamoussoukro, Korhogo, and San Pedro.Amrouche, a former Harambee Stars coach, named a squad largely dominated by local-based players and is expected to trim it to 27 players, four more than has been the norm in past tournaments.Despite getting limited playing time at Tusker, Joshua is glad to have won the trust of Amrouche.Kenyan referee trio selected to officiate Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory CoastThe 29-year-old has been struggling with a knee injury that saw him miss the better part of last season. He underwent surgery in June of this year.“Every player has the ambition to play in big tournaments like the AFCON.
