The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) will hold its non-elective General Assembly in Mombasa, Kenya, on February 16, 2024.Auka Gecheo, the Executive Director of CECAFA, communicated this information to all 12 Member Associations on Tuesday.##NAJAVA_MECA_7775992##The agenda for the Assembly includes the reception, discussion, and ratification of CECAFA competitions and the calendar for the 2024/2025 period. Additionally, members will review the CECAFA financial report for the year 2023, among other emerging matters.Noteworthy events scheduled for 2024 include the AFCON U-17 and AFCON U-20 Zonal qualifiers, Zonal CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers, CECAFA Senior Women Championship, and the Pan African Schools Football Championship Zonal qualifiers, among others. The previous CECAFA General Assembly took place in Zanzibar on January 6, 2023.In 2023, CECAFA staged several regional competitions. They include the CECAFA U18 Championship and Pan African Schools Football Championship Zonal qualifiers held in Kenya, the CECAFA U15 Championship held in Uganda, and the CECAFA U18 Women’s Championship staged in Tanzania after the rights were taken away from Kenya.The 12 CECAFA member associations consist of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Sudan, South Sudan, and Zanzibar.Ayunga features as St. Mirren lose to Celtic
