Former AFC Leopards coach Tom Juma has formally sued the club at the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) for breach of contract.The matter has been listed for mention next Tuesday afternoon at the tribunal. Juma is claiming Sh. 9 million for unfair dismissal.##NAJAVA_MECA_7789133##The club’s top hierarchy, including Chairman Dan Shikanda, Secretary General Gilbert Andugu, and Treasurer Oliver Napali, have been listed as respondents in the matter.Juma becomes the third former member of the club’s technical bench to take them to court after they were fired last October.Former goalkeeper trainer Lawrence Webo and physiotherapist Boniventure Odire have sued the club at the tribunal, demanding Sh. 7 million over unfair dismissal.Webo is demanding Sh. 5 million, while Odire wants to be paid Sh. 2 million. The matter has already been mentioned at the tribunal and will be heard later this month after lawyers from both sides were asked to make their submissions on the matter.The three were fired late last year at a time the club was struggling to pick positive results on the pitch.Meanwhile, a number of cases touching on football have also been listed for mention next week as the tribunal resumes its sitting after the long holidays.Gor Mahia, who have sued Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Leagues and Competitions Committee, will have the matter heard on January 16.The club had been ordered to play their five home matches behind closed doors following an incident of fan trouble, but they moved to the tribunal and obtained orders stopping the ban.Furthermore, the tribunal had also lifted an order banning the club from using Kasarani Stadium until they paid Sports Kenya Sh. 1.9 million fine for damages.But in a ruling last month, the tribunal said: “It’s hereby ordered: That the 1st (FKF) and 2nd (Sports Kenya) Respondents be and are hereby restrained from imposing sanctions pending the hearing and determination of the application.”North and West African teams are favourites for AFCON title, predicts Stars coach Engin Firat
