Former Kenyan international Dennis Odhiambo has revealed why he returned to competitive football after one and a half years in the cold.Odhiambo caught many by surprise when he pulled out of what had initially been thought as retirement and signed up for Football Kenya Federation Premier League debutants Murang’a Seal.The veteran player who plays as a left-back as well as a defensive midfielder had been a free agent since leaving KCB in July 2022 after his deal with the bankers expired.##NAJAVA_MECA_7822185##Odhiambo signed a year-long deal with Seal who are expected to announce more new signings before the mid-season transfer window shuts next month.The former Sofapaka man said his undying love for competitive football and the urge to feature in the Kenyan top flight once more attracted him to the offer by Seal.“I love football. I love gym work and training. I think this explains why longevity in competitive football. Seal would not have approached me if they were not satisfied with my fitness levels,” said the former Sofapaka player.Odhiambo confident of landing new home after leaving KCBThe long-serving player made his Kenyan Premier League debut in 2008 after Thika United acquired his services after completing his studies at Manor House High School.He joined South Africa’s University of Pretoria the following year and remained in their books until 2018 although he briefly returned to Thika in 2011.Odhiambo was part of the Harambee Stars team that participated in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt.
