Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has challenged his team-mates to make sure they give Jurgen Klopp the “farewell he definitely deserves” this season after the Reds boss announced his shocking decision to leave England after the season, and the first (of many) opportunities to do that was today at home against Norwich at the FA Cup. Needless to say, the players reacted as expected and ran over Norwich in the 4th round of the FA Cup 5-2.After the German tactician announced on Friday he’d leave Anfield after nine years in charge, this was the first game where the fans could express their emotions for the beloved manager, and he got the warmest possible applause when he came to the pitch just before the game. As for the match, there were no problems. The hosts took the initiative from the first minute, and after two big chances (Gakpo over in the 8th minute and Nunez’s bar in the 10th), it was Jones who got the first goal after only 15 minutes. The only ‘uncertainty’ in this game happened in the 22nd minute when Gibson scored for Norwich from their first shot on target. The ‘uncertainly’ lasted for about six minutes since Darwin Nunez scored and regained the lead, which Liverpool didn’t drop again. The second half started, and with less than 10 minutes, it was 3-1 after a powerful volley from Jota. Reserves Szoboszlai – and Van Dijk combined for Liverpool’s fourth goal before an individual effort from Sainz earned Norwich their second goal of the game. The score remained the same until the end of the game even though the Reds had four more great chances, but they were all denied by Norwich keeper Long. But Gravenberch used his opportunity in the 5th minute of injury time and added the fifth goal for the hosts. In the fifth round of the FA Cup, Liverpool will be a host again, this time against the winner of the Watford – Southampton game.FA CUP Fourth RoundFriday Chelsea – Aston Villa 0-0Sheffield W. – Coventry 1-1 (0-1)/Gassama 84 – Torp 45/Bristol City – Nott.Forest 0-0Tottenham – Man.City 0-1 (0-0)/Ake 88/Saturday Ipswich – Maidstone Utd 1-2 (0-1)/Sarmiento 56 – Reynolds 43, Corne 66/Leeds – Plymouth 1-1 (1-0)/Anthony 31 – Randell 73/Sheffield Utd – Brighton 2-5 (2-2)/Hamer 44, Osula 45+8 – Buonanotte 14, Joao Pedro 29 pen, 52 pen, 67, Welbeck 90+7/Leicester – Birmingham 3-0 (0-0)/Vardy 47, Akgun 72, Praet 88/Everton – Luton 1-2 (0-1)/Harrison 59 – Mykolenko 39 og, Woodrow 90+6/Fulham – Newcastle 0-2 (0-1)/Longstaff 39, Burn 61/Sunday West Bromwich – Wolves 0-2 (0-1)/Neto 38, Cunha 78/Liverpool – Norwich 5-2 (2-1)/Jones 16, Nunez 28, Jota 53, Van Dijk 63, Gravenberch 90+5 – GIbson 22, Sainz 69/19.30: (18.0) Newport (11.0) Man.Utd.
