The fourth round of the FA Cup draw with the fourth-tier club a piece of cake, right? Well, wrong! It’s not the problem with Newport County; it’s Manchester United. The 12-time winners of England’s oldest competition had one of the easiest draws in this round of the FA Cup, and yet the 16th-placed club in League 2 gave the Red Devils all they got and that was enough for only a 4-2 loss. But the point was that Manchester allowed themselves to get from 0-2 to 2-2 and had to annoy their own fans until Antony scored his first goal of the season to give his teammates a new match in the fifth round, as Hojlund scored the fourth one deep in injury time.Coach Erik Ten Hag cannot be accused of taking this game lightly as he put a strong first 11 (considering the opponent), with players like Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Casemiro, Antony, Bruno Fernandes, Garnacho and Hojlund all in the team from the first minute. It started fantastic for United as the score was 2-0 less than 15 minutes into the match. First, it was captain Fernandes, who scored in the third round and did so in the fourth, with an assist from Antony. Kobbie Mainoo was next in line to score, with the help of Dalot, and there were few supporters back then who thought that anything could go wrong from that point on. But the hosts managed to sneak one in as Bryn Morris fired first time low from fully 30 yards and the ball went into the net. What a bomb it was.As soon as the second half started, the game totally turned around. Adam Lewis was down on the left, and his low cross was poked home by Evans at the near post for 2-2. Two teams had a chance each before Antony finally found the net in the 68th minute. Luke Shaw started it all, and it was his shot which hit the post the ball went right at Antony’s feet, and it was easy for him to put the ball into the net for another lead. The score remained the same until the fifth minute of injury time, when Hojlund, totally irrelevant for 90 minutes, managed to score one.
