Former Nzoia Sugar FC defender Salim Odeka has joined Kakamega Homeboyz FC.Odeka crosses over to Homeboyz after a few months in Tanzania with Geita Gold where he did not feature for the club due to work permit-related issues.##NAJAVA_MECA_7838753##The player has been training with the club for the past few days, and he has now inked a deal that will see him feature for the club after failing to secure a move last August, despite having trained with the club for some time.Odeka has previously played for Sony Sugar FC, Western Stima, Kisumu All-Stars, Posta Rangers, and Nzoia Sugar FC.He becomes the latest addition to Homeboyz’ arsenal after the arrival of Nicholas Kipkirui from KCB, Simon Masaka from Sofapaka, John Omondi from Compel FC, and Glen Masava from MOFA FC.Meanwhile, midfielder Edwin Omonya Apaa has confirmed his departure from the club. The player signed in March 2023 from the now-defunct Nyota FC and was immediately loaned out to Vihiga Bullets for the second leg of last season.After an impressive stint with Bullets, he was recalled by Homeboyz, but unfortunately, he was not given any minutes in the first leg of the 2023–24 season, and he has now exited the Patrick Odhiambo-coached team.“I can confirm that I have left Homeboyz.
