Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Patrick Odhiambo has lauded the impact the new signings had in their 2-1 win over KCB last weekend.Homeboyz ended their six-game winless run after edging the bankers in a clash staged at the Police Sacco Stadium.Before kick off, Odhiambo named four of the new recruits in the starting eleven with two getting places on the substitutes bench.##NAJAVA_MECA_7873257##The experienced left-back Shafik Batambuze, forward Glen Masava, right-back John Omondi, and centre-back Salim Odeka secured their first starts for the club in the game.Striker Oliver Majaka came in the second half while Salim Murunga who joined the club from Nzoia Sugar was unused.Out of the six new players named in the match-day squad, only Masava lacked the Kenyan top-flight experience as the rest had featured in the competition in their previous workstations.A break from injuries is all what Homeboyz centre back Potiphar Odhiambo craves forOdhiambo said the five new players who played gave a good account of themselves and proved the management right for going for their signatures in the mid-season transfer window.“They all played well.
