Vlahovic is a beast! The Serb gets two goals and a decisive assist in a thrilling comeback win

Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic scored twice and played a crucial role in the winning goal as Juventus overcame Frosinone 3-2 in a crazy Serie A win on Sunday afternoon. The Serbian international’s 75th Serie A career goal was the catalyst for Massimiliano Allegri’s side in ending their four-match winless streak.

The match began with a quick start for the hosts, as Weston McKennie, who had previously assisted Vlahovic’s headed winner in the reverse fixture, once again played a key role. McKennie’s smart pass found Vlahovic, who calmly finished past Frosinone’s goalkeeper, albeit with a slight deflection off defender Pol Lirola. However, Frosinone, despite their poor away record, quickly responded with a goal of their own as Nadir Zortea’s cross was expertly headed in by Walid Cheddira.

Eusebio Di Francesco’s side, with several changes from their previous defeat to Roma, continued to press forward and took the lead through Marco Brescianini’s sensational strike after Abdou Harroui’s precise through-ball. Juventus suffered a blow with captain Adrien Rabiot being substituted due to injury, but they managed to equalize before halftime, with Vlahovic converting McKennie’s assist with a clinical finish.

In the second half, both teams had opportunities to take the lead, with Vlahovic missing a close-range header for Juventus and Daniele Rugani’s shot hitting teammate Carlos Alcaraz. Despite Juventus’ dominance, they struggled to break down Frosinone’s defence, with Kenan Yildiz and Timothy Weah coming on as substitutes in an attempt to spark their attack.

Frosinone remained resilient, but Rugani’s late header from a corner secured all three points for Juventus, much to the delight of the home fans.

The victory narrows the gap to six points behind league leaders Inter Milan and Juve, keeping their hopes alive.SERIE AFridayBologna – Verona 2-0 (1-0)/Fabbian 27, Freuler 65/SaturdaySassuolo – Empoli 2-3 (0-1)/Pinamonti 54 pen, Ferrari 77 – Luperto 11, Niang 64 pen, Bastoni 90+4/Salernitana – Monza 0-2 (0-0)/Maldini 78, Pessina 83/Genoa – Udinese 2-0 (2-0)/Retegui 36, Bani 40/SundayJuventus – Frosinone 3-2 (2-2)/Vlahovic 3, 32, Rugani 90+5 – Cheddira 14, Brescianini 27/17.00: (4.50) Cagliari (3.60) Napoli (1.90)20.00: (7.50) Lecce (4.40) Inter (1.45)22.45: (2.45) Milan (3.50) Atalanta (3.00)Monday20.30: (1.95) Roma (3.35) Torino (4.20)22.45: (2.40) Fiorentina (3.35) Lazio (3.25)***odds are subject to change
