National Super League side Migori Youth has confirmed the appointment of Sammy Okoth as their new head coach for an unspecified period.Mozzart Sport had on Monday reported that the experienced gaffer had sealed talks with the club, and according to Team Manager David Aguko, had “ticked all the right boxes, having spent most of his coaching career in Kenya and the vast experience he has in the second tier.”Migori Youth to hire ex-Kenya international Okoth as head coachOkoth comes in as a replacement for Peter Okidi, who left the club last December to join up with FKF Division One Zone B League side Nakuru Bucks.In Okidi’s absence, Migori, who occupy sixth position in the second-tier league, were under the watch of assistant coaches Kevin Olouch and Sammy Owano.“We are pleased to announce Sammy Okoth as our new head coach,” Migori Youth’s club statement on Tuesday read. “Okoth brings a wealth of experience, having previously led Shabana FC to promotion to the FKF Premier League and coached Zoo FC, among other teams.”
