There is an aspect of an inferiority complex when you keep losing matches and for young players, it’s hard to boost their morale, and lastly, there is an aspect of bad luck. Things don’t work out completely and you are left asking what are we not doing right,” said Nyamweya.Matano calls for investment in youth programs to raise Kenyan football standardsLooking into last season’s run that nearly scuttled their plan of staying in the table of men, Nyamweya said lack of balance in the team was he root cause of the poor results.“Last season we had a mixture of experienced and inexperienced players and we had to find balance within the team. Somehow, the results did not come as we had expected. We are glad we turned the corner and survived relegation and now we are onto a much better season, “he said.Nyamweya is satisfied with the chemistry levels in the team and the confidence in which the players who majority of them are in their second season in the top tier are expressing themselves.“From the look of things, as per the Premier League table, it’s evident City Stars is a different team from last season having grown in terms of confidence & performance. Last season, the entry of players to the premier league was an induction process.
