5 storylines for the Puerto Rico Open, including Aaron Wise’s return

It’s time for the first PGA Tour opposite-field event of the season.

With the Arnold Palmer Invitational taking the spotlight on the PGA Tour in Orlando, Florida, the 2024 Puerto Rico Open will be underway at Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

It’s the first chance for players not in the API field to play their way into the next signature event, the RBC Heritage. The field is loaded with past FedEx Cup champions like Bill Haas and Brandt Snedeker as well as former Tour winners like Daniel Berger, Kevin Kisner, Camilo Villegas and more.

Grand Reserve’s Championship Course is a par-72 layout measuring 7,506 yards. The winner will receive $720,000 and 300 FedEx Cup points.

Here are five storylines for the Puerto Rico Open, including Aaron Wise’s return to play.
