The turmoil between the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and the FKF Premier League outfit Murang’a Seal on Friday took a new twist after the former received a court order barring the football governing body in the country from interfering with the club matters. The matter was submitted to the courts by the Nairobi County Football Association Secretary General Wilfred Mokaya Marori versus the FKF and the body’s Secretary General Barry Otieno on March 14, 2024, where he sought a temporary injunction issued against the federation and their agents from interfering with Seals in any manner.##NAJAVA_MECA_7958864##Trouble started brewing between the two parties early this week when FKF through their SG Otieno notified the club that Hussein Mohammed their chosen representative for the FKF Annual General Meeting that was set for Saturday, is not a recognized member of the federation and thus ineligible to attend. In response, Murang’a insisted that their Vice Chairman, Hussein, was to attend the AGM at all cost leading a section of FKF delegates on Friday morning in a joint presser to issue a warning shot to any “unregistered member(s)” wishing or attempting to attend the federation’s event adding that they would strictly comply to the laid Rules and Regulations in the FKF Constitution.FKF postpones AGM following court orderThe delegates, representing the FKF Premier League, National Super League, and County Branches, in a common voice, added that in the event of disruption by non-members on Saturday, would be forced to invoke Article 30.4 of the FKF Constitution would instead alter the agenda of the AGM to prioritize “kicking out of individuals masquerading as football stakeholders.”However, the league newbies seem to have gotten a reprieve in their push for a new dawn in Kenyan football after Judge E.M Analo restricted the federation from poking its nose in the team’s activities. Analo further ordered the Nairobi Police County Commander to ensure compliance with all the interim orders issued.Key FKF NEC members blast delegates briefing, say it is a diversion and a disgrace to transparencyFull Court Statement
