A Kenya select team, comprising players from the Talanta Hela U-19 team both boys and girls is set to tour Spain for a two-week tournament.The teams that have been training for the event sponsored by the national government are expected to jet out of the country on March 23, 2024, under the stewardship of former Harambee Stars coach Stanley Okumbi. ##NAJAVA_MECA_7967567##The boys are scheduled to take part in the MIC tournament which is set to start on March 26 to 31st in Costa Brava, Spain. Among teams that will feature in the U19 category are Malaga, Espanyol, the Steven Gerrard Academy, Girona amongst other high profile teams. The MIC Football is an international youth football tournament that brings to Costa Brava some of the best academies in the world. Every Easter thousands of boys and girls from five continents have the opportunity to feel like professionals and compete against some of the future football stars.The girls’ squad will form part of the Costa Daurada Cup competitors which is a popular event that takes place on the beautiful coast of Costa Daurada. The tournament has attracted over 200 football teams from across Europe which will feature in different categories.Kenya U20 select team set for Spain tourThe Costa Daurada Cup runs twice throughout the year – one in spring and one in summer. It is open to boys’ teams aged U8 to U19, girls’ teams aged U11 to U16, and adult ladies’ teams.Kenya will have 19 players in each category.
