Mathare United CEO explains why the club settled on Francis Kimanzi

Mathare United Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jectone Obure has lifted the lid on why the club chose to bring back Francis Kimanzi to take charge of the club in the remaining National Super League (NSL) fixtures.

His appointment came several days after Leonard Odipo stepped down following an unusual loss to MCF in a league fixture. ##NAJAVA_MECA_7992884##Obure reveals that it was not easy to convince Kimanzi to take over the mantle. “Kimanzi is and has always been part of the Mathare United family and since he was unattached, we thought he was the right man for the job. It was not easy convincing him though as he is now more focused on training other coaches,” Obure revealed to Mozzart Sport, “He understands the club very well and he accepted to take lead until the end of the season. The entire club is very happy to have him and we are optimistic he will guide us back to the top where the club belongs,” he added.
