Bryson DeChambeau keeping it light at 2024 Masters, directing traffic with a little dance at Augusta National

Bryson DeChambeau hasn’t had much success at the Masters in recent years, but during the opening round Thursday, he posted a 7-under 65 and was the solo leader after 18 holes.

His day began with three birdies in a row at Nos. 1-3, then after making the turn, he made three straight once again at Nos. 15-17.

DeChambeau’s second round got off to a slower start, parring Nos. 1-3 before a bogey at the par-3 4th.

However, he had a funny moment on the short par-4 third when he jokingly directed traffic of the players behind the green, a group that included a fellow LIV Golf member, Charl Schwartzel.

Through his first five holes on Friday, DeChambeau was 1 over, 6 under total and one shot back of solo leader Max Homa.
