One thing is clear when it comes to both Chelsea and Napoli – both clubs will get a new striker in the upcoming transfer window. Victor Osimhen is guaranteed to leave, and he has always said that the Premier League is his dream. On the other hand, Chelsea are certain to buy a proper striker for the next season, so the logical solution could be for the Blues to acquire the Nigerian striker. Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis managed to secure Osimhen for another season (this season) and to get as much money as possible for him, but on the other hand he will sell him in June 2024. Everybody knows it, as this was the informal agreement when the Nigerian extended his contract. So, a release clause of around 120 million euros is there, but everybody will try to lower it down. When we say ‘everybody’ we mean Chelsea and PSG, as they are currently top two clubs competing for Osimhen. But, their ideas of how to lower the price are different. For every Victor, there’s one Jonathan: Napoli might have found a replacement for OsimhenThe Parisians will opt to defer the payment of the clause, and they can offer the Super Eagle a much bigger salary and regular participation in the Champions League. On the other hand, Chelsea can also fulfil all his personal demands and offer him a ‘dream job’ – a place in the Premier League club, in which his idol Didier Drogba played. On the other hand, European football in not guaranteed (yet), and the Blues also don’t have 120 million in cash. But they can offer De Laurentiis something else – a striker in exchange. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Chelsea is about to offer 80 million euros in cash to Napoli, along with Romelu Lukaku and another young player. The Belgian international doesn’t see himself in Chelsea and if Antonio Conte agrees to become Napoli’s coach, this will be an ideal opportunity for him. De Laurentiis would het a hefty sum, after all, and two players, one of whom is a proven Serie A striker.’I’m telling Victor to narrow his mind to one club – Chelsea’The only downside of the story, apart from the 30-40 million less from the Osimhen deal is the huge Lukaku wage. De Laurentiis would hesitate to give such a sum to the Belgian, but on the other hand, his last two transfer windows have been bad and he is currently struggling with any kind of European football. So, to get a proven striker without a guaranteed Champions League is a coup. But Napoli’s owner is a colourful character, and nobody knows how he will react to the proposal.SERIE A – MATCHDAY 35FridayTorino – Bologna 0-0Saturday Monza – Lazio 2-2 (0-1)/Djuric 73, 90+2 – Immobile 11, Vecino 83/Sassuolo – Inter 1-0 (1-0)/Lauriente 20/Sunday Cagliari – Lecce 1-1 (1-0)/Mina 26 – Krstovic 84/Empoli – Frosinone 0-0Verona – Fiorentina 2-1 (1-1)/Lazovic 13, Noslin 59 – Castrovilli 42/Milan – Genoa 3-3 (1-1)/Florenzi 45, Gabbia 72, Giroud 75 – Retegui 5 pen, Ekuban 48, Thiaw 87 og/Roma – Juventus 1-1 (1-1)/Lukaku 15 – Bremer 31/Monday19:00: (9.00) Salernitana (5.00) Atalanta (1.35)21:45: (3.80) Udinese (3.50) Napoli (2.00)***odds are subject to change***
