The date for the much-anticipated Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Division One/National Super League (NSL) promotion playoff has been confirmed.With the third division ending last weekend, FKF has chosen May 18 as the date for the one-legged playoff at Dandora Stadium, whose winner will advance to the second tier while the loser will battle another season in Division One.The third tier ended with APS Bomet and 3K FC earning promotion to the second division, while Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) and Fortune Sacco came second in their respective zones, booking a place in the playoffs.##NAJAVA_MECA_8094991##MOFA overcame stiff competition from Compel SC for a place in the playoff, which was fueled by St. Joseph’s win against the latter, while a final-day defeat to Omax in Mombasa saw Fortune surrender the top of the league status to eventual champions 3K.Speaking to Mozzart Sport, MOFA coach Kassim Otieno expressed confidence ahead of the date with destiny.”We’ve been getting ready for the clash, and I have no doubt that we shall emerge victorious and march to the NSL,” remarked Otieno.On whether playing in Nairobi will affect his players, a confident Kassim said they are not scared of anything”Majority of our players are from the capital and used to the city surroundings; our patron (Michael Olunga) played in Nairobi and he is motivating the boys ahead of the clash.””We have the experience, we’ve won many battles away from home this season so it doesn’t matter where the clash is, Nairobi is home away from Homabay,” he added.
