AFC Leopards utility player, Kayci Odhiambo, has challenged Hakati Sportif players to borrow a leaf from his meteoric rise from the fifth tier to, being an assistant captain at the second-most successful football club on land.Odhiambo’s football journey has been nothing but, impressive since joining Leopards late in 2021 from National Super League side Kajiado FC, formerly known as Dandora Love FC.Before his brief stint with Dandora, Odhiambo had for the longest played for Hakati, a fifth-tier club that features in the Nairobi Regional League.Ordinarily, players from the fifth tier work their way up to the top level but Odhiambo’s exceptional talent and versatility saw him skip the lengthy process after impressing Leopards technical bench.##NAJAVA_MECA_8109842##He joined Ingwe aged 20 and made his debut in September 2021 against the 2009 champions Sofapaka.On Friday, Odhiambo, who made his Harambee Stars debut in March, returned to Hakati, the outfit that offered him the platform to showcase his talent.Herrit Mungai uses Mozzart Bet award to donate to Real Hope Community Foundation in KawangwareThe central defender offered words of advice to young players at the club whom he backed to follow his footsteps if they remained focused.“I just want to remind the young ones at the club to believe in themselves. I left the club and signed with AFC Leopards without going through the lower league structures.
