In his rich career, Manchester City defender Kyle Walker played with lots of great players. He spent years at the Etihad, but also in Tottenham Hotspur, where his former teammates were some of the biggest stars in football, like Luka Modrić who ended up in Real Madrid. He also had the privilege to be with some of them in the England squad, but nobody can come close to Son Heung-min, when it comes to popularity. Speaking on his new podcast, You’ll Never Beat Kyle Walker, the City’s defender remembered one anecdote with Son, while visiting South Korea. Antonio Conte has a lot of love for Son Heung-min 💍 pic.twitter.com/XqhqYQeSUt— GOAL (@goal) August 29, 2022 “I went to South Korea with Sonny and I have never seen anything like it. He’s so nice. We would do an appearance, it was like me, Kevin Wimmer, Ben Davies and Sonny. We were like the jokers. And we would have to send a dummy vehicle pretending that Sonny had gone and all these people would corner the vehicle, stop it, and then realise Sonny was not in there and we’d be away. But then they would come back to the hotel we were staying and all night they would stay out there. I had seen Rooney, Lampard and Beckham to a certain degree like that but he was beyond them” he revealed. Our foundations are really fragile, admits PostecoglouPlaying with Tottenham and now Manchester City gave Kyle the opportunity to share the dressing room with some great players. “I’ve been fortunate to play with a lot of great players. Tottenham, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric. I think Ledley King was so underrated. For Thierry Henry to say that he’s the best player that he’s played against, you’ve got to be doing something right, and for me, he’s a very, very underrated player that I had the pleasure of playing with at Tottenham. Former Manchester City team-mate David Silva was incredible. You’d give him a bad pass, and he’d make you look good. He’d make you look the best, he made you look a better player. Kevin De Bruyne – he will go down as one of the best, if not the best midfielder in the Premier League. He’s one of them ones – he doesn’t mind giving the ball away. So he’ll try a 40-yard pass, and if it doesn’t succeed the norm would be to say, “I’m not doing that again”. He just thinks, “you know what, sod it, I’m just going to do it again” explained Walker. ##NAJAVA_MECA_8130310##But when it comes to players with natural talents, he named only two. “There’s two people that stand out for me, which is Neymar and Eden Hazard. They were the two that – you didn’t really know what they were going to do. They were just enjoying themselves. And for me, I love watching Neymar. Go on YouTube – because he’s entertainment. and just because we’re in a job and we care about winning, we are entertainers, and we’re paid to be entertaining” he said.
