Kisumu All Stars dangerman Michael Karamor has pitched his sights on winning the National Super League Golden Boot.Karamor hopes that his recent scoring streak will drive him to the top scorer’s accolade at the end of the campaign.Karamor currently has 15 goals, one behind Philemon Nyakwaka, who leads the scoring list with 16 goals.Nyakwaka, who previously played for FKF Premier League newly promoted side Mara Sugar, has stayed at the top of the top scorer rankings for the majority of the season, despite switching teams to KCB in February.Paul Were pleased with his contribution in Mathare’s quest for promotionThe former Mara marksman joined the bankers during the mid-season transfer window after showcasing his goal-scoring prowess.Karamor drew many people’s attention at the start of the season with his goal-scoring abilities; however, the former Kakamega Homeboyz forward went on a four-month goal-dry spell after losing his scoring touch.Nonetheless, the hefty striker appears to have recovered his scoring mojo at a critical point in the season, having scored six goals in All Stars’ recent games.Karamor’s latest goals came in Kisumu All Stars victories over Kajiado FC, Mombasa Stars, and Darajani Gogo, where the Charlse Bruno-coached team won 3-1, 3-0, and 1-0, respectively.The seasoned attacker scored a hat-trick against Kajiado, a brace against Mombasa Stars, and All Stars’ lone goal against Darajani Gogo.His recent form has helped him cut the deficit with Nyakwaka to a single goal.With three matches remaining in the season, the Nigerian international aims to score a few goals to help him win the top scorer award.However, he must contend with Mombasa Stars forward Joel Kihara and Naivas fast-rising striker Kharisa Ponda, who have 14 and 13 goals, respectively.”I had a successful start to the year, scoring nine goals by the end of the first leg.
